Will's initial reaction was to reject the notion of learning how to shut Molly out, the idea of losing her in his head after all these days of being aware of her presence making something like panic rise in him. But when she went on, explained why she wanted to give him that option, so they could both protect themselves and each other, he felt better about it.
He took a breath. "I want to understand all of this," he told her, his fingers hooking around her elbow and pulling her arm into him. "I want to know how I can tell when you're completely in my mind, and when you're not." He wasn't afraid or worried, just just wanted to be able to read the way it felt, to be able to categorize it.
He paused, looking at her face, meeting her eyes every once and a while and holding her gaze just until he was sure she was about to break it herself. "Could you feel me, just now?" he asked her softly. "How you were making me feel?"
